How I have been sleeping better:

There is nothing better than a good night’s sleep. Since moving far away from Texas and more noticeably lately, I have not been sleeping well. I have never really had a problem getting a full night’s rest. I am not sure if it’s the weather, the altitude, or maybe I need to do some feng shui in my bedroom (HA!), but for the first time in awhile I slept until my alarm woke me up and I believe it was because I have been putting lavender oil on before bed. I have been into using essential oils for quite sometime, thanks to my momma! Using them didn’t come to mind right away when I wasn’t sleeping great, until a friend reminded me.

I put a couple drops doTERRA lavender oil mixed with coconut oil on the bottoms and tops of my feet before I go to sleep. I also use coconut oil and a drop of lavender on my hands and arms so that the aroma is all around while I’m falling asleep. The coconut oil also helps moisturize my hands that have been extremely dry from living in a dry climate. It has helped tremendously! The first night I only woke up once throughtout the night rather than a few times. I also felt like I wasn't dreaming constantly like in past nights. If you're having trouble sleeping, this is definitely worth a try! You can also put a couple drops on your pillow.

A few other uses for lavender oil are:

  • Insect bites and stings

  • Minor burns

  • Calming/stress reducer

  • Cold sores

  • Eczema

AND SO MUCH MORE! Research it. Try it. This is a great, natural way to help your body where it might be needed.
