Easy recipe: healthy, baked sweet potato fries

I am a sweet potato fanatic. Any sweet potato fry, dish or straight up potato, I’m a fan. My favorite sweet potato is filled with toasted marshmallows and butter. Secondly, sweet potato fries. If sweet potato fries are on the menu, they are on my order! Since I eat sweet potatoes so much, this is a healthy option that allows me to make easy fries when I am cooking at home. It adds a variety when it comes to my sweet potato cooking! This recipe is so easy and nutritious.

  1. Preheat the oven to 410 degrees

  2. Wash the sweet potato and cut off the ends

  3. Peel the sweet potato if you prefer, I keep the skin on (the skin provides fiber)

  4. Chop the sweet potato into approx. ½ cm width pieces (or so)

  5. Place the pieces on a cookie sheet

  6. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the pieces then spread the potatoes around allowing the olive oil to coat the pieces and the pan as well

  7. Now season your sweet potatoes! Here the options are endless: I usually do creole seasoning, pepper and cinnamon. It's a great combo of salty and sweet.

- Salt, pepper, cinnamon and sugar, brown sugar, creole, and/or nutmeg are a few other options.

  1. Bake for 25 minutes

This may vary depending on the thickness of your potato pieces; the thinner the pieces the less time. Also, if you want them a bit crispy (my fav!) then keep them in a little bit longer! Finally, SERVE. I usually dip mine in ketchip, yum!

EASY! Healthy. Delicious.

ENJOY, XXO!
